The real short board revolution started with this design. Call them “retro” all you want, but these designs have been evolving ever since they were conceived in southern California in the early 70’s; and we don’t think this is going to stop anytime soon.
Short and wide, plenty of volume, these designs are commonly misinterpreted as boards for small weak surf, although it’s not a secret anymore, that this is far from the truth. Although its true that they are very functional in clean, small and weak surf, these boards thrive on waves shoulder high and way above, where the acceleration and effort- and seamless performance make it a unique experience to surf them.
